側頭窩Temporal fossa(Fossa temporalis)

側頭窩【そくとうか】 Shallow depression on the lateral wall of the cranium. It extends from the temporal lines to the level of the infratemporal crest of the greater wing of the sphenoid and laterally to the inferior border of the zygomatic arch.(側頭窩は上方と後方は側頭線により、前方は前頭骨側頭面と頬骨側頭面により、外側壁は頬骨弓の内面により、下方は側頭下稜によりそれぞれ境されている。窩の内側壁は側頭平面とよばれ、側頭鱗、頭頂骨、前頭骨側頭面、蝶形骨大翼側頭面により形成されている。窩の前壁には頬骨管の開口である頬骨側頭孔がある。)
