下顎管Mandibular canal(Canalis mandibulae)

下顎管【かがくかん】 Bony canal within the mandible that transmits the inferior alveolar artery and nerve. It begins at the mandibular foramen and passes beneath the roots of the teeth to the mental foramen.(下顎孔から前内側に向いた骨内に下顎管が始まる。下顎管はこれから下顎体の歯槽の下をほぼ顎舌骨筋線と平行に、大・小臼歯および犬歯の歯根に小さい枝を送りつつ前方へ走り、その前端はオトガイ孔で顔面に開くが、その直前に切歯の根糸の下を前方に向かい正中線に至る細管を分ける。下顎管は下顎神経の枝の下歯槽神経および同名動静脈の通路である。)
