粗線；大腿骨稜Linea aspera(Linea aspera; Crista femoris)

粗線；大腿骨稜【そせん】 Rough double line on the posterior aspect of the femur. It increases the bending strength of the shaft and gives origin to the vastus medialis and vastus lateralis muscles, the short head of the biceps brachii muscle, as well as attachment to the adductors, gluteus maximus, and pectineus muscles.(大腿骨体の前面は平滑でスベスベした隆起が縦走している。粗線は内側唇と外側唇の２部からなり、この両者は上方と下方とで二またにわかれている。粗線は人類だけに見られる特徴的なものである。これは人類では直立歩行をするために必要な筋群が発達し、これらの筋の付着部である粗線が強く隆起するに至ったのである。粗線の有無は、化石猿人が直立歩行をしていたか否かの決定的な参考にされる。)
