縁洞；縁静脈洞Marginal sinus(Sinus marginalis)

縁洞；縁静脈洞【えんどう；えんじょうみゃくどう】 It lies at the entrance to the foramen magnum and connects venous plexuses of the inner cranium with those of the vertebral canal.(大後頭孔周辺にある静脈洞で椎骨動脈周囲の内椎骨静脈叢internal certebral venous plexusより形成され、後頭静脈洞occipital sinusと連続している。横静脈洞が発達不良の場合には、この静脈洞が頭蓋内の静脈還流にとって重要となる。)
