リンパ節Lymph node(Nodus lymphoideus; Nodus lymphaticus; Lymphonodus)

リンパ節【りんぱせつ】 Lymphoreticular filtering organ interposed along the course of lymphoid vessels and measuring 1-25 mm in diameter. Lymph must pass through two lymph nodes before reaching the bloodstream at the venous angle, providing a dual defense against pathogens or tumor cells invading the bloodstream.(リンパ節はリンパ細網組織の球状の緻密部で、しばしば明るい中心部を有する。リンパは最後に血液に合流するが、その前に少なくとも１個、通常は数個のリンパ節を通る。リンパ節にリンパを運び入れるリンパ管のことを輸入リンパ管といい、リンパ節よりリンパを運び出す脈管を輸出リンパ管という。リンパが血流に達するのは首のつけ根部位においてであって、最終リンパ管は胸管および右リンパ本幹となっている。)
