上オリーブ核；上オリーブ複合体【じょうおりーぶかく；じょうおりーぶふくごうたい】 Nuclear complex located lateral to the trapezoid body. It receives fibers from the cochlear nuclei and sends fibers forming the olivocochlear tract to the hair cells. It serves as a reflex center and as a relay nucleus of the auditory pathway.(上オリーブ核は内側毛帯と三叉神経脊髄路核とのあいだに存在する核群であり、両側の蝸牛神経核から入力線維を受け、出力線維は外側毛帯に加わる。音源定位に大きくかかわる。)
