Sensory nerve(Nervus sensorius)

Nerve that contains afferent fibers that convey impulses from a nerve ending into the central nervous system. Terminologia Anatomica does not distinguish between the two definitions of sensory nerve, a distinction commonly made in European languages, which use two different terms. A sensory nerve ca. describe either any afferent nerve that transmits impulses toward the central nervous system or, more specifically, an afferent nerve that conveys impulses from specific sensory receiving areas such as the nose, eye, petrous part of temporal bone, and gustatory regions.(神経終末装置から中枢神経への求心性線維を含む。 (Feneis))
