平衡砂膜Otolithic membrane; Statoconial membrane(Membrana statoconiorum)

平衡砂膜【へいこうさまく】 Membrane consisting of a gelatinous ground substance embedded with statoconia that forms a layer covering the maculae. It is permeated by brushlike processes of sensory cells.(平衡砂膜は平衡斑の上皮をおおう約20～25μmの厚さのゼリー状の層であるが、下の方は網目状を呈し、多数の細管があり、その中へ有毛細胞の平衡毛が深く進入している。)
