Kerckring's valves輪状ヒダ；ケルクリング襞（小腸の）【りんじょうひだ；けるくりんぐひだ（しょうちょうの）】 Up to 8 mm high permanent folds containing submucosa that extend transversely to the intestinal axis, encircling around two-thirds of the intestinal lumen.(ケルクリング襞ともいう。とくに空腸で数多く存在する（ヒダの全数は約８００といわれる）。名前は輪状ヒダとなっているが、これらのヒダが腸管の全周を輪状に完走していることはまれで、多くはその周の１／２～２／３を走るにすぎない。輪状ヒダは空腸では数も多く、丈も長いが、回腸では次第に数が少なくなり、回盲部ではほとんど消失している。オランダの解剖学者Theodorus Kerckring (1640-1693)の名を冠するが、その前にイタリアのファロピウスが発見している。)
