神経下垂体；下垂体後葉【しんけいかすいたい；かすいたいこうよう】Posterior lobe of pituitary gland formed by an eversion of the floor of the diencephalon.(下垂体後葉は神経組織から成るが、神経細胞体を含まず、神経膠細胞の一種である後葉細胞(pituicyteまたはpituitocyte)を含むのみである。その大部分は視床下部の視索上核および室傍核からのびてきた神経線維とその軸索終末で、多量の神経分泌物(neurosecretion)をふくむ。血管は豊富である。)
