前大脳動脈Anterior cerebral artery; ACA(Arteria cerebri anterior)

前大脳動脈【ぜんだいのうどうみゃく】 Thinner terminal branch of the internal carotid artery. It arises laterally from the division of the internal carotid artery above the anterior clinoid process, passes anteriorly, anastomoses with the artery from the opposite side, and runs between the cerebral hemispheres over the genu of corpus callosum and, on its posterior side, posteriorly toward the splenium. It gives off cortical arteries as well as arteries for subcortical and basal nuclei.(前大脳動脈は、視交叉と視神経の外側で内頚動脈から分岐する。左右の前大脳動脈は視神経の背側を前内側方向に走り、相互に近づき、前交通動脈によって連結する。前大脳動脈は、大脳縦裂の間に入り、大脳の内側面を上方に向かい、つづいて脳梁の背側面を後方に向かう。前大脳動脈は、大脳縦裂の間に入り、大脳の内側面を上方に向かう。前大脳動脈は、途中で次のような枝を出す。すなわち①内側線条体動脈、②眼窩枝、③前頭極動脈、④脳梁辺縁動脈、⑤脳梁周囲動脈である。前大脳動脈の異常は約２５％の脳にみられる。このなかには前大脳動脈が１本しかないもの、枝が反対側の大脳半球に分岐する例もある。)
