脳軟膜Cranial pia mater; Leptomeninx(Pia mater cranialis; Pia mater encephali)

脳軟膜【のうなんまく】 Delicate, vascular cranial membrane. It forms a loose connective-tissue sheath lying on the surface of the brain and passing into the sulci, and thus also covering the cranial vessels.(脳軟膜は脳の表面をくまなくおおう薄膜で、脊髄におけるよりも密に脳に付いている。軟膜は脳室壁が上衣層のみからなる部位（上衣板）の外表面をおおい、脈絡組織を作り、上衣板と癒着している。脈絡組織から脳室内に血管に富む脈絡叢が出ており、その脳室面はやはり上皮板によっておおわれる。この部分における上衣板の上衣細胞は立方系で、単層を無し、脳脊髄液を分泌すると考えられている。脈絡組織には第四脳室脈絡組織と第三脳室脈絡組織がある。)
