主オリーブ核；オリーブ主核【しゅおりーぶかく；おりーぶしゅかく】 Principal nucleus of the inferior olive. It is shaped like a thickwalled, folded pouch that is open medially and is connected with the spinal cord and cerebellum.(主オリーブ核は下オリーブ核複合体の最大部分で、波形の細胞層からなり背側層板・腹側層板とこれらを連結する外側層板からなる。この細胞層の内側に向いた開口がオリーブ核門である。系統発生的に新しく、ヒトおよびサルなどの高等哺乳類では発育がよい。その形はシワの多い袋状をなし、内側に向かう開口部、すなわち門を持つ。)
