前庭神経下核；下前庭神経核Inferior vestibular nucleus(Nucleus vestibularis inferior)

前庭神経下核；下前庭神経核【ぜんていしんけいかかく；かぜんていしんけいかく】 Group of cells lying inferolateral to the middle nucleus that forms a terminal nucleus mainly for descending afferents from the maculae of saccule and utricle. Its efferents travel in the medial longitudinal fasciculus to the spinal cord.(前庭神経核群のうち、前庭神経下核は延髄において副楔状束核の内側から上方へ前庭神経が脳幹に入るまでの高さにあり、主として小型および中型の細胞溶離成る。ただし、その最も吻側部は前庭神経外側核に似た大型細胞から成る。神経線維染色標本で縦走する線維束の認められるのがこの核の特徴である。)
