腹側核；内側膝状体腹側核；腹側主核Ventral principal nucleus of medial geniculate body(Nucleus ventralis corporis genigulati medialis)

腹側核；内側膝状体腹側核；腹側主核【ふくそくかく；ないそくしつじょうたいふくそくかく；ふくそくしゅかく】 Nucleus composed of small cells. It receives subcortical afferents from the inferior colliculus through the brachium of inferior colliculus. It sends projections to the posterior portion of the auditory cortex.(内側膝状体腹側核は聴覚系「核部」の中継核であり、下丘中心核から入力線維を受け、側頭弁蓋にある一次聴覚皮質投射線維を送る。内側膝状体腹側核と一次聴覚皮質には音の周波数対応配列(tonotopic representation)がみられ、形態的には入力線維と中継ニューロンが層的構成をとって配列する。)
