視索上核Supra-optic nucleus(Nucleus supraopticus)

視索上核【しさくじょうかく】 Three-part nucleus containing neurosecretory material (e.g., vasopressin, oxytocin) that is transported by the hypothalamohypophysial tract to the neurohypophysis.(視索上核は正中線の両側にあり、その吻側部は視交叉の前上方に位置している。しかし、核の大部分は視索に沿って存在し、吻側野と尾側野に区分される。この核の構造は一様な中等大または大形（２５～３０μm）の神経細胞の集団で、視床下部内側野の神経核である。室傍核とともに代表的な神経分泌核あり、視索上核下垂体路の起始核である。)
