多形層；多形細胞層［第VI層］（等皮質の）【たけいそう；たいけいさいぼうそう［だい６そう］（とうひしつの）】 Layer consisting of numerous, usually small, multiform cells. It transitions into the white substance without a clear boundary.(多形細胞層の大多数の細胞は紡錘形であるが、細胞体が三角形または卵形に変形した錐体細胞も多数みられる。マルチノッチ細胞もこの層にみられる。この層の下にある白質から皮質に入る線維および皮質から白質に入る線維がこの層を通っている。)
