前眼房（眼球の）Anterior chamber of eyeball(Camera anterior bulbi oculi)

前眼房（眼球の）【ぜんがんぼう（がんきゅうの）】 Space extending from the anterior surface of the iris to the posterior side of the cornea and communicating though the pupil with the posterior chamber.(眼球の前眼房は前方の角膜内皮と後方の虹彩内皮および水晶体前面瞳孔部との間の凸－凹レンズ形の間隙。周縁は虹彩角膜角（小柱網）、中央部は瞳孔縁を経て後眼房に交通枝、１５０～１９０mm3の眼房水にみたされ、一定の眼圧(20～22mmHg)が保たれている。前眼房では、角膜に接する前部は体表に近く温度が低いのに対して、後部は温度が高い。このように前眼房内では前部と後部との間に温度差があるので、眼房水は体流によって循環する。組織発生学的には脈絡膜の組織間隙がとくに発達したものである。病理学的原因により眼圧が以上に更新する症状を緑内障(glaucoma)という。)
