軟骨間関節；肋軟骨間関節【なんこつかんかんあせつ；ろくなんこつかんかんせつ】 Articulations between the costal cartilages, usually of the sixth to the ninth ribs. (軟骨間関節は第５～第９肋軟骨の互いに向き合う隆起部の間に認められる平面状の関節で、関節面は小さな滑らかな楕円形で、骨膜を有し、第８～第９肋軟骨の前端が上位の肋軟骨に着くところは靱帯（軟骨間靱帯）で補強されている。第５・第６・第８・第９・第１０肋軟骨間の連結は純靱帯性である。)
