頚横動脈Transverse cervical artery(Arteria transversa colli; Arteria transversa cervicis)

頚横動脈【けいおうどうみゃく】 Highly variable vessels. The second most common anatomical variant (25%) is presented here. It usually (75%) arises from the subdavian artery, often penetrates the brachial plexus, supplies the superior part of trapezius with its branches, and gives off a branch that accompanies the dorsal scapular nerve.(頚横動脈は後方へ頚部頚部を遮断して肩甲骨上角に達し、肩甲挙筋の外側と内側を通る２枝に分かれる。前者は僧帽筋に達し、浅枝（または浅頚動脈）とよばれ、後者は肩甲背神経に沿って菱形筋内面を下行し、深枝（または下行肩甲動脈）と称される。深枝が甲状頚動脈からではなく独立して鎖骨下動脈あら起発する際には、［背側］下行肩甲動脈とよぶことがある。)
