脊髄索Funiculi of spinal cord(Funiculi medullae spinalis)

脊髄索【せきずいさく】 Three bundles of fiber tracts of the spinal cord, which are divided into groups by the posterior and anterior horns and their root fibers.(脊髄の白質は主として縦走する有髄線維から成なり、灰白質の外方に脊髄索、すなわち前索、後索および側索を作る。後索は下等動物では発育が悪いが、高等動物、おとにヒトではよく発達し、左右の後索は後正中溝およびそれに続いて正中面にある薄い隔板（後正中中隔）によって分離される。脊髄の白質には脊髄と脳を結ぶ投射神経路と脊髄の各部を結ぶ連合神経路がある。前者には上行性（知覚性）のものと下行性（運動性）のものがある。)
