前庭神経内側核；内側前庭神経核Medial vestibular nucleus in medulla oblongata(Nucleus vestibularis medialis in medulla oblongata)

前庭神経内側核；内側前庭神経核【ぜんていしんけいないそくかく；ないそくぜんていしんけいかく】 (Schwalbe's nucleus) Terminal nucleus located lateral to the sulcus limitans that receives afferents from the ampullary crests and the maculae of saccule and utricle. Its efferents travel bilaterally in the medial longitudinal fasciculus to nuclei of the extraocular muscles, Cajal's interstitial nucleus, and into the spinal cord.(前庭神経内側核は小型および中型細胞からなり、比較的線維が少ない。これは前庭神経核のうちで最も大きく、舌下神経核の吻側端の高さから外転神経核の高さまで伸び、上方は前庭神経上核と融合する。前庭神経内側核から起こり内側前庭神経核脊髄路を下行する神経線維は反対側の中心頚髄核にも終止する。)
