乳管洞Lactiferous sinus(Sinus lactiferi)

乳管洞【にゅうかんどう】 Spindle-shaped dilatations of the lactiferous ducts with a diameter of 1-2 mm (up to 8 mm during lactation) just before they open at the tip of the nipple.(乳管が乳頭にはいる直前の、乳管の紡錘状の膨大部。径5～7mmあり、乳頭へ開口する直前部にある。母乳保育ではこの部分が拡張して乳汁を貯え、新生児の吸啜で圧出される。催乳反射が持続する間、連続した吸啜を可能にする。)
