室間孔Interventricular foramen(Foramen interventriculare)

Monro, Foramen of室間孔【しつかんこう】 Opening that connects the lateral ventricle and third ventricle. It is situated posterior and inferior to the genu of fornix.(モンロー孔とも呼ばれる。室間孔は脳弓の後下方にある側脳室と第三脳室の間の連絡孔。室間孔は視床と脳弓との間にある細い通路であるが、正中線をまたいで左右の室間孔の開口部を結ぶ空間は終脳に属しており、狭いながら側脳室不対部としての残りの部分から区別されている。Monro, Alexander (Secoundus) (1733-1817)スコットランドの解剖学者。1758年に父の後を次いでエジンバラの教授となる。第三脳室と側脳室の間のモンロ孔を記述(「Observations on the structure and functions of the nervous system」,1783))
