脳幹Brain stem(Truncus encephali)

脳幹【のうかん】 Collective anatomical term for the rhombencephalon and mesencephalon. The clinical definition includes the basal ganglia, diencephalon, and portions of the 【rhinencephalon】.(ＴＡで脳幹は髄脳（延髄）、橋、中脳を脳幹と定義している。かつては、脳を運ぶ際に脳幹をもって運んでいた、脳幹は、脳の柄のような部分という意味で付けられた。日本の神経解剖の教科書では間脳を含める場合や間脳と大脳核を含めて脳幹と称している場合が多いので注意をようする。)
