中脳水道；脳水道Aqueduct of midbrain; Cerebral aqueduct(Aqueductus mesencephali; Aqueductus cerebri)

Sylvius, Aqueduct of中脳水道；脳水道【ちゅうのうすいどう；のうすいどう】 Narrow canal in the mesencephalon between the third and fourth ventricles.(中脳水道はシルビウス水道ともよばれる。中脳では脳室系は細い管となり、間脳の第三脳室と菱脳の第四脳室とを結合する。これを中脳水道と称し、横断面は円形または底辺を背側に向けた角のとれた三角形をなし、中心灰白質によってかこまれる。その存在については古くから知られていたが、フランスの解剖学者Jacobus Sylvius (1478-1555)の著書(1555年)で初めて説明がなされた。)
