外転神経［脳神経VI］Abducent nerve[VI]; Abducens nerve [VI](Nervus abducens [VI])

外転神経［脳神経VI］【がいてんしんけい［のうしんけい６］】 Cranial nerve emerging from the brain at the angle between the pons and medulla oblongata. It penetrates the dura mater at a point half as high as the clivus, continues laterally in the cavernous sinus, and then passes through the superior orbital fissure into the orbit where it supplies the lateral rectus.(外転神経は第六脳神経である。外側直筋に至る鈍体性運動性神経で、その起始核たる外転神経核は橋の中にあり、これから出る神経は橋の後縁で正中線に近く表面に現れ、内頚動脈の外側を通って上眼窩裂から眼窩に入り、外側直筋の内側からそのなかに入る。)
